Lakemaster card with the Humminbird depth finder set right is an awesome tool. Lot of shallow water out there and a bunch of stuff right under the water. When in doubt idle, that's what I do and have been here for over 35 years. Good luck and stay safe.

Be extremely careful!! My first trip there probably 8 yrs. ago we knew nothing never looked at it on the internet and no GPS. Went down there on a tip from a guy I had duck hunted with in Greenwood. We put in at South Graysport and went barreling down the channel headed west. Hung a left and pulled the throttle back and shut it down because I saw someone wading. My wake pushed us about 30' and we washed up on a road bed in about 6" of water. We were lucky be safe!
