Default Plastic cards for hunting and fishing permits

Wish they would have had this when we bought new permits. Available April 1 new Heritage Cards that will carry info for hunting and fishing permits. All they have to do is scan card to check your permits. https://mdc.mo.gov/sites/default/fil...?itok=L-0FO--I

For a price of course. I don't see how this is of any advantage to the permit holder but may be easier for the agents. I think the electronic permits should be sold at a discounted rate since the conservation department doesn't have to supply the paper permits any more.

I just hand them my phone if they check me anymore. Its all on the app. for them to see
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

$2 charge. This replaces the old Heritage Card.

Yea prob nice for the agents but I have been fishing countless times in my life and only been checked three times so it's only useful if they are out in the field. But I do know there are only 190 agents serving 114 counties so getting checked is not likely.

Been checked a few times. Got checked last year. One area we fish has a water patrolman that we see a lot. He likes patrolling that area. I am glad he does. It is to close to Jefferson City and it can get crazy in summer.

I have been checked more by the highway patrol on the water than CAs.

Don't go to Smithville Lake. You'll get checked before your line even hits the water. I fish there often and still get checked...by the same ranger too. I guess they're just doing there job. Tight line y'all!
