To land one of my crappie i need a gaff and a .22 pistal :D
Urbanfisher if you want to catch a fish go to the skykomish and drift eggs. You'll probably catch some dolly varden in a couple hours.

Huge and I mean HUGE smallmouth bass can be caught out of the ship canal. Carolina rigged plastics do the trick everytime. Drag them on the bottom as slow as you can stand to.Originally Posted by urban_fisher1
There are two humps just outside the mouth of the ship canal (on the Lake Union end) that hold crappies and schools of perch year-round. You can't miss them if you have a depth finder. You can also find roaming schools of crappie and perch in the middle of the channel on the L. Washington side.
Slabking tell me more about these humps and the smallmouth fish and some crappie if you want to.

thanks for the info SlabKing! I'll definitely being trying that this summer
I wonder how high the skykomish is now. the snoqualmie went from below minimum flow to almost flood stage within a few days
The skykomish is really bad but if you wait a while it should be ok .
