    Default One Pole One Jig

We all can not be professional fishermen, women and a lot of us do not want to be, we just want to go fishing, have fun, catch fish. We can learn a lot form reading, watching the pro's but we don't have to be pro's, we just have to be fishermen of choice. Drop a jig over a brush pile and let it fall into the brush, jiggle it around a bit, feel the tic or watch the line go limp, set the hook enjoy the catch. John came by few days ago, wanted some advice on Stockton Lake, I told him it had slowed way down on crappie, but the Walley and White bass was picking up, we Talked for the longest time, where to fish, how to fish and Why we fish... I ask John if he still two pole slow trolled with minnows, yes he said I do, but I was wanting some advice on jig fishing, Well fish the jig just like the minnow , maybe slow it down a bit. I gave him the advice and it is awesome advice to, From Rick Flint and Jason King, watch your line, feel the tic not the big bite you hear about, just a line move or rod tip twitch, set the hook, it will be there,,, Love talking crappie fishing, even us rookies can help others out.

Same advice Richard (Ripnlips) has given to me, and it works. See the line move the wrong way, feel the little tick and set the hook.
