Default Just Getting Started Spider Rigging

I have only had my boat for about 3 weeks and I am going to try spider rigging for the first time. I bought 4 12 ft. Crappie Max Signature series rods and have just ordered 4 B&M Pro Staff Trolling Rods in the 14 ft. . for now I will use various baitcasting reels along with a couple zebco's that I had retired for various reasons. hope I did good, read a lot on here and did my research mostly here on crappie.com, so I think I should be off to a pretty good start . now for the actual learning of the ins and outs of spider rigging. also I have the R100 Spyderloc rod holders. everything was purchased from sponsors or members of Crappie.com. Just wanted to thank everyone here for all the help and info I have gotten so far.

wish me luck, I will probably need it .

I see the beginning of a learning curve. Good rods and reels for what you will be doing. As you do it more you'll fine tune it for the way that works best for you. Have fun and keep us posted.

Set your boat up so that you do not have to get out of your seat for anything ... Loss of boat control when spider riggin is the #1 reason of not having your baits where the fish are ...

Tackle, bait, net, live well, depth finder buttons, lunch = everything within arm's reach ...

Remember to do your own thing. Everyone puts their own spin on rigging, there's more than one way that works.
    I can't, I'm fishing.

There is a big learning curve, be patient. You WILL get hung a LOT but that is part of fishing this way. Backing up and letting the weight drop will unhang it a lot of times. Good luck and don't give up too soon.
