    Default underspin reels

The tackle monkey has been here and told me I need a Pflueger PFL 1806U underspin reel for slip bobbering this spring. Anyone have hands on experience with this reel?

It is really preference. Pflueger makes a good product, and I dont think you will be disappointed with it. I, myself, am a Shimano man, but own a couple Pfluegers and they work fine. Shimano is just my own preference.

I think Abu Garcia and Daiwa make better underspins.

For the money... synergys work well. Just make sure you get one with double line pick up. If you don't..., slack on a thin line will cause the line to free spool out.

I bought one of the pfluger reels 2 weeks ago. Put it on my lightning rod and plan on using it for walleye fishing this spring. I read good reports about them so i decided to give em a try. This model is bigger than any i've ever owned.
