    Default Sliders and floats

I fish a lot of CB's Sliders for crappie and bass. I have never, until today, thought about using one under slip float like any other crappie plastic. Have any of you used them like that?

all the time. I like to fish a light weight braid on a long spinning rod, with a slider and slip float in buck bushes. you can literally place the bait exactly where you want it, and keep it their if the boat starts moving around on you you can let line out or reel up the slack. allows me to keep bait at constant depth and less hangups than jigging it.

I'm curious now. Why would you select an "action tailed" bait fished under a bobber, which presumably requires no action? I believe that you can catch them on a Slider under a bobber, but why not just a plain straight tail? Defeats the design of the plastic it seems to me.

because when you rise and lower it on the slip float it will flutter up and down. utilizing the swim action of the bait. you can also slowly retrieve the bait under the slip float at a constant depth, also utilizing the swim action of the slider.
