Default Lowe boat and long lining

I have a Lowe 18 Stinger HP. Have spider loks mounted in front and have extra mounting plates I want to mount in the back but I don't know what is under the deck. Sure don't want to drill into steering cable or anything else for that matter. Can anyone advise? Thanks.

i have put two sets of plates on the rear of my lowe 17ft stinger. just don't use extra long screws. just long enough to get thru the metal. should not be a problem..good luck...

I put base plates on the rear deck of my 195 Stinger. No issues, just drilled slow. There was floatation foam under there.
