Default New Boat for me... first tin

I've been on here from time to time but don't post regularly. Thought I would share my new boat as my crappie fishing had a hand in why I got it. I'm a bass guy historically and have fished in the big glass bass hulls for close to 20 years. I have 3 boys that are now my fishing partners and while we still focus mainly on bass we do some crappie fishing now from time to time. The bass boats just didn't have enough floor space for anchors and minnow buckets. Plus my boat was never comfortable at all if we wanted to just go out as a whole family of 5 for a fun day at the lake. I never wanted a fish/ski as i can't do with out the big front deck to lay and store rods because we do serious bass fishing most of the time. Well, then Lund went and put together what seemed to be the perfect layout for my family and style of fishing and last fall I put one on order. Got it last month and have so far had it out a couple times. It is working great so far. Just thought I would share it with this group since like I said, it is going to make my crappie trips better I think.

The boat is a Lund 2075 Prov Bass XS with a merc 250 verado. it is 20'10" with a 96" beam. Not set up for spider rigging, etc... but i don't do that anyway. I'm typically single poling or anchored down with a few rods over the side when crappie fishing. A few crappie friendly features: I can put my 10' crappie rod in the rod box without breaking it down. You can add modular and removable rod holders. More floor space for kids, bait, anchors. Also, We managed to put a few fish over the side on our first trip out with it although the crappie didn't cooperate.

For those that jump on the BBC boards and visit the tin boats forum, you've already seen this as I've put alot of posts there on the entire experience.

    That's not a tin boat, that's a floating Cadillac!

How fast is that boat with the 250? What lake you fish in KY? Nice smallies. Is that Green River or Cumberland?
