against my better judgement i let the wife, daughter and soninlaw talk me into taking them crappie fishing last night on wylie. I dint want to go all that much as i figgered the boat traffic would be bad. i was suprised when we got to the allison creek ramp. there wasnt but a few trucks there. we put in and went down the lake and set up for the night in a cove. the boat traffic on the main lake was pretty bad, but by ten pm it had all but died. we was out of the wind so that wasnt a problem either. on the main lake it was whipping it up pretty good. we wound up with 64 crappie, 21 of which was slabs. the rest was average to small. we also caught 23 catfish, from one lb to about four lbs. it was a text book night for fishing, very still and warm. we took some photos of the catch. when i get them back ill post a few photos. tightlined minnows over the side in 33 ft of water. most of the fish was caught on onr near the bottom. we fished from dark to 3:am when we run out of minnows.
