    Default 16 inches >>>>>>

Was how deep the fish wanted the bait , slowly dragging it downstream after an upstream cast ,bait color and size wasn't terribly important , it was about the presentation .
took a quick lunch break at a little winter creek hole I like to hit and the fish were quite frisky , it was overcast and a little cool with a little north wind.
Both black and white crappie were there that day and as always in the winter time the kayaks were in numbers even on a work day at lunch time .I released them like I typically do for others to enjoy and down the road I went .I refrained from posting all the extra small fish photos and probably ketched about 30 or so ....
hope you enjoy the photos and read and have a great weekend , I am out in 30 minutes to a spot I haven't been to in 30 years to see how the winter bite is there .
    as always stay tuned .....
