Default Pitching my lil rig .....

Was float pitching my extreme light 6 6 quantum with a small okuma on it . I didn't have much time and was on a way to visit with a customer . So I used my lunch break time and hit a creek that holds winter time fish . My favorite spot there was really good for small to medium size crappie and the other 2 spots only held one crappie at one and a drum at the other .
Now one must keep in mind this spot gets hammered by the local folks and the trucks are lined up there daily . And some folks choose to post the exact spot on the internet in social media circles as well.
So it goes I suppose and such is the internet . The good news is most have little or no idea how to present the bait to these fish and or the right size and colors and if you don't keep your bait VERY tight to your float you wont get lots of bites .
These fish love to come up from cover and assault the presentation about 16 inches under the float . 2 foot down or more and bites go to almost none .
I have paddled it some in the past and in some of the log jams you can drop a jig down in them and do well and I hear tell that if you go way upstream near the lake discharge the sand bass and crappie are in good numbers. I never have time to get serious there as its just a lunch time spot to hit for me these days .
Anyway that day it was a pretty fun little excursion and I let them swim on as I typically do . I didn't bother posting up all the potato chip fish but there quite a bunch of both species that rivaled bait size as well .....
