I don't know much about GPS or never really used my phones GPS for much either.

A lot of fishing maps have submerged structure coordinates right on the map.

Just wondering if there are any apps out there that will take you right to coordinates you put into the app. Or maybe its not that easy?

If you are asking if you can mark a location on the map app on your phone the answer is yes. I have brush piles marked on my phone for fishing and hunting camps marked o my phone so I don't get turned around in the woods while walking back in the dark.

I guess i'm asking if there is an app that after you put in the coordinates, that could point you in what direction and how far to reach that waypoint.

I know it's easy enough to save a waypoint, but getting back to that exact spot, easily, is what i'm looking for.

Both of the iPhone apps I listed in post#2 will allow adding Waypoints ... and then navigate to that waypoint ...

I will check those out. Thanks.

I just want to be able to transfer the coordinates from a map to the app, and be able to easily go right to them.

I use the Navionics app and one called US Topo Maps. I also use an app called Custom Maps that allows you to add photographs to your phone and geo coordinate them.

If you have any specific problems we are here to help.

I think HERE maps offers the best free offline driving directions. These kinds of programs allow you to enter coordinates. If you use Google maps you give up some functionality when outside cell coverage.

The Navionics Boating app is a one time purchase with Freshest updates for 1 year ... after that year is up, you still keep the app with the detail at the most recent Freshest Update (but requires re-subscription purchase to continue getting Freshest Updates) ...

HB FishSmart app has Lake by Lake purchased thru HB ChartSelect that is downloaded to the phone ... with many of the same features as using a LakeMaster map in the HB unit ...

The Lake(s) purchased in HB ChartSelect (to be used in the FishSmart app) can also be loaded onto a blank SD Card and used directly in a HB unit as a fully featured LakeMaster mapping card without any additional purchase ...

I'm not using any fishfinders or navigation or any kind of marine electronics.

I mainly want to use it icefishing. Just put the coordinates into a phone app and have a GPS app direct me to the underwater structure.
