What do you consider "trolling". Since you're asking about 16'ers, I'm assuming you mean spider rigging. Trolling and spider rigging are two different things in my opinion, but that's a different thread. I use PST"S because parts are easily obtained and they are good, solid rods. I've used the Denali's and they are really good. Nice soft tip with good backbone and they weigh almost nothing. Never heard of Jenko.

I use psts for spider rigging and pulling cranks. They are tough rods. I also have a set of southern crappie rods that are very good rods.

Don't know if it matters to you, or not, but the Capps/Coleman 14' rods have a slightly more limber tip than the PST's. (both are sold as BnM products)

I have one PST & 2 C/C 14' rods that I use for Pushing jigs ... and I have noticed the C/C rods do bend slightly more than the PST with a 1/2oz weight & jig. I was told by my "spider rigging mentor" that he preferred the C/C rods over the PSTs because it was easier to see lighter bites. He uses 16' and 3/4oz weights for his Spider Rigging setups.

Spider rigging ... PST's for heavier weights, more than 1/2-5/8 oz (deeper or faster than .5 mph); Capps & Coleman series for lighter weights, less than 1/2 oz (less than 12 ft deep, slower than .5 mph). I have used both. C&C are softer and can detect a lighter bite. PST's are designed to be stiffer to handle heavier weights. I opted to get the PST's. Even though i usually fish no deeper than 15 ft and rarely go faster than .4-.5 mph. They will work with the lighter weights and I don't want to carry 12-16 rods with me.
