    Default repower

I'm looking to repowering my nova 175 crappie boat with a 60hp mercury 4 stroke. I wanted to get feedback on the 4 strokes.

Absolutely love mine. Great on gas, quite running, crank as easy as any motor I have ever had, and are very easy to service. Just like changing the oil in a car except you only have to do it once a year unless you run it every day. Only fall back is they are slow off the line but a good prop will change that

I have a 2007 90hp EFI four stroke Merc on a WE Predator that has been a great motor. Quiet, very good fuel economy and starts like a dream. Couldn't be happier.
Just get up and "gofishin". The fish are waiting!

First 4 stroke is the only way to go. 50 Yamaha on mine. 04 model and not one problem. Before buying make a call to BigRiverMarine and talk to bill. Bet he can give you as good a deal as you will find anywhere on a motor. If I was buying new I would go with Suzuki.

I have a 60 merc 4 stroke on my boat and I love that thing. Like everyone else has said very quiet great on gas idles smooth. Not one single complaint about it. I have a tracker 175 and it pushes it great top speed 35 -40 depending on how loaded i have it. Would definantly consider suzuki though! Talked to Mr. Bill (Big River Marine) before I found my tracker and he said the suzuki's are a notch above the rest zero problems with them.

I have a 50hp 4 stroke, and truly love it. Quiet and cranks quick every time.

2012 30hp 4 stroke mercury on my War Eagle. Love it for all the above reasons. Not as "zippy" as a 2-stroke but you get used to it. I highly recommend you get a motor that matches the max hp rating for your boat.

I have had maybe 25 diff size 2 stoke motors all sizes up to 150 mercs. Got my first four stroke, a new 25 hp Yamaha for my tin boat and love it. I will never go back to 2 stroke ever again no matter what the size motor.
