Default To cold to work so I fished!

I went down yesterday to work on my boat, I'm installing a new locator and still had a few things to do like run cables for the i-pilot link. Well by the time I got there wind gust were up to 30 and cold rain a blowing so I just couldn't get my self in the mood to start getting all of the tools out and start back on the project even though the boat is in a covered slip on the lake.

But after all I had just driven 45 miles and had the correct clothes for the conditions so I thought may as well wet a line. So I started off fishing in a few different slips at about 12 to 18 feet deep, primarily 1 to 3 feet off the bottom. After about an hour of this I had only caught one keeper and was ready to call it a day and head back to the house when quite by accident I got bit really good when I was reeling in and was just under the dock. So I gave it another try and wham; almost caught a limit at 4 to 5 feet deep! Was not expecting them to be that shallow especially with the weather conditions like it was.
