Default Power trolling w/ lipless cranks or rattle trap

Never seen or read about anyone doing this. Only seen the 200/300 cranks pushed with heavy egg sinkers. Is there a reason lipless cranks or rat traps aren't used off the front? Seems like they have a better shad profile than road runners or wouldn't pull as hard as a 200/300 crank. School me please.

You can push anything you want. Lipless cranks tend to sink, so when one snags (or stops moving forward for any reason) it can get messy vs. traditional cranks floating upward.

I've used rattletraps on my dropper rods while pulling cranks for years. They will work powertrolling or pushing if you speed is 1.0-1.2. I use the small models and those with a spinner blade on them.

I sometime push them with a three oz.weight three ft. above them and they work good.....i use all threes sizes for this. I have a box full of them with custom paint jobs.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.
