I am in the process of rigging a boat I have restored. I have a 1974 Ranger TR10. It's an old boat but I have spent countless hours working on it. Now I am in the process of rigging it strictly for Crappie. I have ordered Driftmaster Tip Savers to put the rods out over the side since the boat is narrow I don't have an abundance of room. My question is what do you guys do for a center support for your rods when you use the Tip Savers? It seems to me if I space them to hold several different length rods for longlining some of them aren't going to lay properly. I am thinking I need something out on the end for the longest rods and put the main support toward the center so the shorter rods are supported. I probably have confused all of you but hopefully you understand my dilemma. I will post pics of my boat when I get it completed.
