Default Question on colors for Truman

Since we have a blast of cold weather coming, I'm thinking it's time I started tying a few jigs. What colors are best for Truman? I can get the general idea from some of the soft plastics' names, but then some of the colors are difficult to visualize...like Blue Thunder or Spanky Monkey or such.

I've not quite committed to buying a new mold yet, so is there anyone who sells unpainted, no-collar jigs in the area? Eberhart's doesn't handle them, or at least didn't have any the last time I was in.

    Thx...

Black and Chartreuse is good, but I have also done well on regular blue/white when the fish are shallow and the water is at least moderately clear. I like the Kalin Grub "WallyWorld" color for lots of lakes as well. It is orange and green based, and some have a firetail.

Silver glitter body chartreuse tail. Can be killer on Truman.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

Thanks, guys. That should get me started. I am surprised that white doesn't figure prominently here. It was the killer color back in Washington state. Chartreuse followed it...I guess water color may have something to do, but still...

My tournament partner pours jig heads and has about every Do-it mold made. Helpes to have them for a sponsor. He is in the Truman area and around Clinton several days a week. He could pour you some up. He has 1/80 up to maybe 5/16 and most everything in between and can pour with about any size/style hook. I will PM you his name and number.

As far as colors go the Blk/Chart and Silver/Chart talked about above are hard to beat. A couple other popular colors are white/chart, Blk/pink, and orange/chart.
