Default Micro baitcaster with thumb bar and "flipping switch" ...

Does anyone know of a micro baitcaster with thumb bar and "flipping switch" ...??

(A "flipping switch" engages the reel simply by releasing the thumb bar ...without having to turn the handle) ...

Don't know of a micro with a flipping switch, I bought some left handed low profile reels from Grizzly last spring, 32 bucks eack I think and have been very well pleased.

No micros as most flippin reels are built to take punishment of flippin heavy baits. The Ambassadeur 5000D was coveted by the flippin guys in the early days, and it had NO drag at all. Direct drive. I'll stew on it some and if I think of any I'll shoot you a PM.

Diawa and Shimano both made some composite models with a switch but they have some years on them by now. The one I had needed bearings and the parts list said nothing available, as did the Shimano SG10's I liked so much.

It sure is nice to be able to push the button and thumb the spool letting out a little line when fishing a short line and then just let up to lock it back in.

This 1 is definately now on the short list ...

Other option ideas are still appreciated ...

Small (or low profile at least is important to me) ... and I really think the flipping switch would be an advantage on a spider riggin rod ...
