    Default Fishing dock 12 24 2016

Hit Marion County dock at 4:45 this morning. No crappie but did get several dinky white bass. Locals said crappie fishing has been pretty bad for a while. Stopped at EL Dorado on the way back and caught 9 dinky crappie at the dock ice fishing. Sailboat ramp and cove is all thick ice.

That ice rod is a Hard Water Customs, St Croix replica tipped with a spring bobber. Rod n reel weighs only 4 oz. ---- spooled up with 4 lb test mono, spring bobber detects the lightest of bites. Works best with 1/32 jigs. Fun to catch dinky and keeper crappie with!
