Default Shakedown Cruise with Shineee Hineees

Took my Pondtoon out to check all the electrical stuff. All electrical works. This is after a total rewire of the boat. My memory still serves me well on some things or the rewiring is just natural instincts. Either or both count.

Had several other issues. One was the electric winch would not release (unwind). Bad connection somewhere needs to be permanently resolved. Anther problem was only 2d would work with Lowrance 2d/di transducer. Yet to be resolved.

Third problem is a Lowrance firmware program issue. Everytime the head unit is powered down and back up, I have to turn image overlay off then back on to view my maps. This issue started after I did the go free upgrade. I have informed Lowrance.

I soaked a few Shinee Hineees and some roadrunners whilst shaking down the Pondtoon. The only thing I caught was a cold hinee and a runner nose.

Pics right before shakedown cruise. All wiring routed and covered and properly working, including wiring to throttle control.

Needless to say, I had the lake to myself.

Glad it all went well. Had the nose/hinee issue myself last week. No fun. Hope you and Brenda enjoy this Holiday Season. Some extra cold weather maybe headed your way, or so I heard today. Stay warm.

28 today and light breeze with lite snow all day in southern Indiana. Dress warm or your liable to freeze your shinie hinee off!

Those controls look like Captain Kirk's controls at the Helm in the USS Enterprise on the TV show Star Trek.

The one that is only reading 2d on the HDI transducer may need to have the transducer type reset in the installation menu.

I will check this. Too cold to "think" about much.

This is a fun boat to drive. I added a red suicide switch. The switch kicks in a voltage multiplier to "enhance" the speed of the linear actuator that moves (steers) the engine when idling or trolling. Quite a handy feature.

Came pole,. Would that steering system work on a stick steer boat. Sometimes the torque is tough on my old shoulder. The hydraulic steering systems is bulky and get in the way of my trolling poles.
