Default Anyone know who this Scott Vance guy is...

He's seems to be in so many articles lately...

Arkie time on the Big O, turning crappie fishing into science | Outdoors | meridianstar.com

Must be a good guy, he uses a lot of our sponsor's products, namely Arkie Jigs. Just sayin'.

You all see the Arkie contest on the contests forum: ARKIE 12 baits of Christmas contest. Three big prizes.....ends sometime Christmas day

A good article on a good man. Some fishermen are all about the secrecy of what they know and wont share. That doesn't describe Scott. When I started painting baits he was key to shortening my learning curve and the success of what I made. He deserves all the Kudo's that come his way. Glad to see him getting the recognition he deserves.

Thanks for the kind words Tim. I've taken Mike Giles, an award winning outdoor writer, crappie fishing a couple of times lately. Mike is mostly a hunter and bass fisherman who only crappie fished a few times a year along the banks. He was impressed to find there was a lot more to crappie fishing and that you can catch them year round using crankbaits and jigs.

Nice article. I have buddies that think I might be a bit crazy fishing for crappie every time I get a chance, they are also shocked when they see the pictures.

Wow! Great article. I always enjoy looking for ScottV's reports and his ironing board full of big slab pictures on the Mississippi Crappie.com forum.
Be safe and good luck fishing
