It is better to ask for forgiveness than it is for permission. Being single, I don't have to do either, but you get my point.
You don't need a new rod , you have a garage full . I said but honey my best ones are tired and old and I am hard on the equipment .
She said I know that's right .....lol
So I guess I will have to go back and see if the one lil jewel is still there this week without additional shopping guidance ......lol
I find I am better off just getting what I want in some cases and not asking for guidance in lots of my tackle decisions.......
So how would you handle the dilemma ?

Yup. I want it, I get it. I work too hard to not enjoy the fruits of my labor. Of course, I'll wear jeans until they fall apart!
In my world, my wife makes a larger income than I do, so sometimes I don't have a lot of leverage. But I've learned that through diplomacy I can usually get her to see my way. We trade off a lot. I want to get a new 4 stroke for the pontoon next spring and she wants counter tops for the kitchen, so that's what is going to happen. I just won't get as much horse power as I would have wanted . But that's OK. Compromise works in my world. I usually get pretty much what I want in the end. It helps that she likes fishing and boating as much as I do. I have a great wife.
