Default thursday was d day for me ....

the dam , the dock , the driftwood and of course the dallas cowboys .....
and da fish was fun in several spots and lacked luster in some areas as did the cowboys later that night ....LOL
the stacked up driftwood was flat loaded up with fish , the dam was good early and the dock was winding down when we got there in the afternoon .
the fish on the dam were holding about 18 foot deep tight to the bottom .
the fish on the dock were holding about 15 foot deep on the bottom .
the fish in the driftwood were in the water column from the bottom to about 4 foot of the bottom in 12 to 14 foot of water .
the driftwood is a tangled mess and ate lots of jigs , the driftwood also helped lots of crappie escape the fillet knife as well .
due to the close quarters in the wood we lost several very large crappie on the surface . there is no "lift" room and we didn't use the net ....
lost a 270 dollar side scan transducer to the white water waves riding across the lake ....in the air we was half the time ....broke a ceramic out of my second tica rod tip as well in the driftwood ....so we got an over all grade on this adventure of a D as well ......
but lots a fish hit the knife in the end and we didn't let the ugly stuff bother us much ....stopped by the marine dealer on the way in and got the transducer fixed up and survived to hit the lake again soon ....hope you enjoy the photos and read

Nice fish. Me and the wind don't get along. Having a stick steer boat I was able to tame the ride with a suspension seat....but when that water is white capping I get soaked....LOL.

Quite the hard core adventure, and being strong enough to endure the challenges! Congrats on the catch. Thanks for sharing.
