    Default Slide for Terrova

My bow on my new Excel is a sharp angle. The dealer mounted the motor but as is I couldn't park on a dock without ripping it off.
I have heard of a slide lock that keeps it back until deployed and locks with a pin once you slide it back out. . I can't seem to find anything. Can you help?

This bracket will allow you to slide the motor 6" inboard.

You would mount it backwards, slide back into boat far enough to clear and pin it.

Still doesn't look like it will stop the motor from being exposed. I looked at a bunch of pics of boats on here, a lot with the motor hanging off the front. Any ideas how you can park a boat without destroying it?

I use an MKA-47 slide plate under my RipTide (Terrova) on my Excel Bay Pro 203 but it still lets the motor be exposed to contacting docks. I just have to be careful since my boat sets just the right height to hit most courtesy docks I use.

That is my new boat! Haven't even fished it yet, trying to work out the little issues like this.

Cray is right about that. Have the same mount. Slide mine back regular, simple thumb screw for multiple conditions. Works nicely. I was concerned about the same issue years ago when I mounted mine.

I have the same bracket the mka 47 it works really good. I keep motor slide back until ready to fish and once I'm done I slide it back. I can pull up to docks and trailer easily with bracket.

I have that bracket and drilled another hole to let it slide back further and pin it.
