    Default SmartCast?

Does anybody have the SmartCast or something similar to it?

If so, how do you like it?

Yes I have one with watch type viewer. It works pretty good. I don't use it very much just when I'm fishing from the banks.

I have the Hummingbird RS 15 (the console version, not the rod or wrist mount.) So far, I am impressed. I usually fish from the bank, so I use it to map out the bottom structure where I'm fishing. It will also show fish.

I think the earlier models (the RS 10, for example) were prone to glitches, but I heard Hummingbird had worked these problems out with the RS 15.

Any place that I can buy it that will send it to me within a couple of days?

Don't have a bass pro within 100 miles of me.

    Default Smart Cast Console Model

I've got the console model. It got wet last summer during a minor sprinkle of rain and quit working. After trying to dry it out and replacing the batteries it still didn't work. I sent it in last week for repairs and am waiting for its return. I would think that all depth finders should be water proof but was sadly mistaken. Before it stopped working I was well satisfied with it for dock and bank fishing and will continue to use it after it returns.
Downside, of course, is the frustration level when you mark loads of fish under a dock and throw everything including the planking in with no luck. It'll make you think of cutting bait and dynamite.
    Best regards, Jim

I bought it and got it yesterday. Took it to a little pond that has some fish in it just to try it out. Seemed ok. I got the one with the wrist watch mount. One thing I didn notice though was I couldn't see fish on there. I know there are fish there as I saw a few big explosions of fish hitting things on top of the water.

Any idea to why it's not showing fish?
