I have the Bubba and really like it. Haven't used a Cutco.
Looking at possibly buying another fillet knife. I mostly catch and release or give away, so I don't fillet or clean fish often. In the past, I have only invested in the inexpensive bass pro knives when on sale.
Any thoughts on either the Bubba Blade or Cutco would be appreciated. Or, other thoughts and recommendations. Thank you.

Which ever one you buy, Be sure they can be sharpened! A lot of the filet knives come fairly sharp, but when they need to be sharpened they are so hard, Rockwell 45 or up, to get sharp again.
The best knifes hands down are victorinox... You won't ever use anything else!!! Bubba blades are junk!

That's what I use also when not using my American angler electric knife and for the price they are great.

I have a Cutco 6"-9", (blade slides) good knife, stays sharp. If I'm not using electric have a 10" old butcher knife that works good too.
Dexter Russel or the Rapala for me. Have the bubba blade and use it on redfish, trout, snook and the like but then grab the rapala to cut the skin side off. Have not tried the cutco.
