    Default 150 for 26.

150 for 26....I hit Nickajack around 8:15 this morning. It was cold...cold for me. I caught 26 keeper crappie like in the pics.....11-12 inch fish....the majority being at the 11 inch mark. Nothing great but certainly decent fish. The bigger crappie were just not there. I hope they will be Friday as I have decided it is time to bring some fish home so will be keeping fish next trip out....unless I decide to go again tomorrow....LOL. Bluegill...6-7 inches....and small KY bass....8-9 inches....were all over the place. I tried going to an 1/8 ounce jig head to get under them and stay on the crappie but that did not work.....they were throughout the water column. The crappie were holding very tight to cover on the ledge wall.....14-16 feet deep. I caught well over 100 small KY bass and bluegill....they were hiting it on the fall....to get the 26 crappie. While it was fun it was frustrating at the same time. The temps did rise by 12:30 p.m. but I was ready to go....left the river bank around 1:00 p.m. All fish caught on a Bison colored Trout Magnet using 2# test SOS line. The rod was the Major Craft FineTail Banshee Area Trout 6' 7" UL. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. Life is good!

Still a decent day even fighting the small bass and bluegill IMO!

Oh yeah Josh.....I'm not complaining. The spot I fish has always produced a lot of crappie in the 13-15 inch range and a few that go 16 inches. But so far this year they just are not there....and they may not show up. But I take what I can get and am happy with that.

Sounds like a great day with 26 keepers...and nonstop catching even though it wasn't all Crappie. Congrats.
