    Default Twain - November Crankin?

I guess the lesson is, don't let the time of year fool ya! I was in town for a 4 day stint of duck hunting for Dad's birthday and after 3 1/2 days of so/so hunting we decided to switch gears and get the boat wet. Hunted the morning on Saturday and then ran over to the Cabin and loaded the boat with crankin gear. Fished from noon - dark and basically hammered them from start to finish! We ran Bandits and Flickr Shads in 15-25 of water and man, were they hungry!

All said and done, we kept 15 VERY nice Twain crappie for a little fish fry and kept 2 of these for a friend:

Good day and week all around!

    Ready to do it again.

I am a friend that likes walleye. Sounds like an action packed weekend. I guessing you were the only boat pulling crankbaits?

Very cool. I won't be fishing Mark Twain, but I'm curious what the pattern was. Big coves? flats, bluffs? Thanks

Yup. Only saw 3 other boats. Two were running and one was dipping I believe.

Was a nice change of pace, for sure.

Main lake bluffs with gradual slopes. I wouldn't say flats but not the steep bluffs either, if that makes sense?
