Default Glad I made the drive.

Glad I made the drive to Nickajack today. Only had 5 quality fish but they were good ones. As usual all fish caught twitching a Bison colored Trout Magnet using a very slow retrieve. Used the 1/16 ounce jig head again as the water had risen about 2 feet and the crappie were holding deep.....15-18 feet. Used the Major Craft Area FineTail Banshee 6' 7" UL trout rod. Reel was a Daiwa Certate 2004CH spooled with SOS 2# test line. SOS line is some tough stuff. That bass gave me quite a fight....I could feel the line scraping the rocks as he was digging. After catching it I inspected the line.....about 2 feet up from the jig head was frayed...but it held. Those crappie put up a good tussle also. I really get a thrill when you get a big Slab on. Time to clean equipment...respool reels and get ready for next week....life is good!

Well..it is ugly....and green. I caught so few fish today thought I would put that pic in. It put up one heck of a fight on 2# test.
