    Default Off the Wall tactics

We all have our standard ways of catching crappies; tightling, longlining, jig poling, dock shooting, bobbering, etc. When those methods don't work, what other methods (crazy last ditch ones) work? My Pops and I went crappie fishing at a park lake near home last Saturday after a cold front. The usual trolling(longlining) jigs didn't work nor flipping minnows to the concrete bridge pilings didn't work either. We tied up to a derelict swimming platform and I tossed a whole night crawler on a size 2 circle hook for a skunk buster slimer. Just static fished it off the side of the boat. 2 min later I pulled up a 14 inch slab. Repeat again and pulled a 16 incher up on a another crawler. Then the bream came in and that was it for that method

Have you tried drifting, with a couple of rods for each fisherman, set at different depth levels. Works well for us in this neck of the woods.
