    Default Ice Fishing 1/19 Mattoon Illinois


    Went out today after basketball practice and got on the water about 12:00. Went to a local private pond and drilled me three holes. And within 5 min. had one on each pole. Bite would be amazing for 30 minutes then die off for 20 minutes then back up again. Steady like that till 5 o clock. Ended up with around 60 gills with only 11 or 12 being "eater size" (I would say 7-9 inches long, bigger than my hand anyway and im 6'3) 2 BIG bass weighing 4.3 and 4.7lbs and one catfish going 5.2lbs. Great day, and looks like the last of our ice fishing.
