Default folks and them there "special" baits they use ....

I visit a lake about 2 hours from my house a dozen times a year or so . a few years back I ran into some local fellas putting a good hurt on the crappie one frosty January day . them boys ONLY used a certain bait to the degree that at the local Walmart when they got that bait and color in , them boys would clean off the rack and go hide them in off locations around the store so they could go back and get them when they needed more ....
now mind ya I went down to my Walmart as well here in my town and got me a bag of them . here is the interesting part I cant quite figure out . I never really have any luck with them around close to my house , but the fish out west eat the fire out of them?
any way its Arkie made sexy shad and its in a somewhat different three color version that them fish out west just like .
black back red belly and chart tail .....I ran it Saturday on a red head and found the crappie thumping it hard out west
might want to get a bag and try them around your locations sometime , they sure enough are a go to bait there at that spot .

Very nice catch! Never tried that color, but I'll certainly put on my "list" the next time I visit "Wally-World". What kind of tail did the plastic have? Straight, paddle, or curly? Can't tell from your post. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing. Great report. Congrats on catch. I may see if I can find some and give them a try in Northern Alabama.

Sorry, but I believe if someone wants to buy something when in stock...buy it...no need to hide them in the store so others can't purchase.

its a straight tail and they call it "sexy shad" ....I like them in the black back and silver belly version as well ....
and I think they have the black /silver with a chart tail as well .....very soft baits so the tail gets busy pretty easily
