    Default Baitcaster

Thinking about switching to baitcasters, looking for opinions!

    Pros and Cons

How are the China reels on ebay or is there another avenue for bulk reels fairly cheap?

I like mine, if your fishing shorter than your rod length you can just hit the thumb bar and let the fish down to reach it.

Thumbar Baitcasters, if you can find them with the flipping switch so much th better. Grizzly jig usually has some good quality reman reels for a good price. Seen and heard mixed reviews on the Chinese reels from eBay. Some say they work ok some say junk.

This place is good place to keep an eye on. They don't have any right now but I have bought about 20 reels from them cheap.

I have and use the Bass pro Mega Cast. It has thumb bar and excellent drag and is light weight. I like the left handed models.

Hello: I buy high quality used baitcasters on ebay they are older reels that have the thumb bar and flippin switch. I've bought Daiwas , Quantums and Abu Garcia's for 10.00 to 20.00 each including shipping. The ones I bought were in excellent condition. Good Luck . O - R

Been using the Shakespeare Axiom reels for a few years with good success. No lefty models that I know of but a good smooth drag. $25 or less on fleabay is where I found most of mine.
