    What are the advantages in color sonar that would make me wont to pay $150 more for color.

    For me they are a whole lot easier to see even in bright sun light.

    It is also much easier to interpret what you are seeing on a color unit.

    To me, the color units are much easier to see and they show structure better than the black & white units.

    The color unit hands down. Much eaiser to see and read. Only way to go.

    color units are the worst, in fact if anyone wants to go back to greyscale I will be happy to trade with them:D and if this dont work I guess I will have to get my own color unit

    What is a good color unit that won't break the bank? I am looking to upgrade sonar, but not looking to spend $500 to do so.

    I ordered a Humminbird 585c today so I'll find out soon if I like a color unit better than the grayscale units I've been using. www.jandhproducts.com has the 585c on sale right now for $333.33.
