Default bad day or bad fisherman??

I went out on the tenn tom today. Had no luck other than a few 8 inchers. Am I that bad at it or was it just a bad day?

Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug! Been there, done that. :D I'll bet there are others that went & didn't catch what you caught! And remember, a bad day of fish'n is still better than a good day at work! Unless of course you're a fishing guide!

I can tell you that on Saturday in SE Virginia from my experience and reading the results of 3 or 4 others, the crappie just weren't biting. I caught 4 that were all around 7".

Hey there Brian, My motto is "you don't know,if you don't go"!
We all have good days and better days. Any day you get to go fishin' should be considered a good day!
And don't measure the success of your trip by the amount of fish you caught. Enjoying the day on the lake instead of being at the job counts too!

some folks will tell you it ain't no fun sitting at home, but I stayed home and thawed out. Still too cold out there on the river for my old bones. I think the rains and cold weather are working against us, Brian. Better days to come. This next week-end will be a whole lot better.
When we start catching fish here, I'm heading south.

I dont know about you guys but at this time of year the slow days far out number the good days, for me anyway, and I fish often. Its those days when everything comes together that I fish for. They are worth the wait.
If you dont go, you wont know
