sweet, bet you gonna buy some beavertails now. lol
I caught this hawg today on lake Nimrod. 2lb 7 oz. 12 feet deep on a Persimmon top located on the edge of river channel. I was using a red 1/4 oz. Bighead Jig and I was trying some 1.5" Pink/White Yum Beavertails that I had found.
They were feeding heavily on 3" shad as you can see...

Hey there Crappieday, I've been using the 2" Beavertails for a couple years now. I was shopping for tube jigs the other day when I ran across these 1.5" Beavertails. I thought that I would give them a try. I also tipped it with a Chartreuse Glow Crappie Nibble. The secret though is the 1/4 oz. Bighead Jig when vertical jiggin' this deep. www.bigheadjigs.com

CATCH A BIG-UN
Way to go Slabbandit, glad to see you back out there. I got me some of those big head jigs about a month ago after seeing all those crappie you and your wife were catching last year. I really like them. Keep after them and keep posting the pics.
A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

Nice!!
Good things come to those who bait.
Thats a good one you got there....Its been a long cold winter here and I can't wait to get out and get me some of that.....................
Nice slab!
That's a dandy . I caught several today too. Just no bigguns. The biggest I had today were only little over 11''. That water was 45 and this week is suppose to be warm. Did you catch it in one of the new tops we put out ?
