In muddy water I have always done well with pink. Black/pink and electric chicken are 2 of my favorite colors. Black/Chartreuse would do well also
Ok, so I posed this question just a few minutes ago in a different thread, but thought I'd ask it here as well so I could get a bigger collection of ideas.
My home lake has been really windy the past day or two, which has made it really muddy. It is normally dark stained, with visibility (for human eyes) of a couple of feet - now, I'm doing well to see a foot deep (I fish from the shore, so it gets pretty murky). In normal conditions, I have decent luck with a couple of dark body 2" jigs, with chartreuse tails and 1/16 oz heads. Well today, with the wind and mud, it didn't appear as though the fishies could even see it - as well as red and chartreuse, and pink/chartreuse...
So my question is: what color/jig combinations have given you the best bite in muddy water with windy conditions (12 mph sustained, 20 mph gusts).
