    Default Ego Reach net question

I am considering a new net for next season. I would like opinions on the Ego Reach Crappie with the fine mesh net and the Ego Reach Rubber with the larger mesh net. They are close enough in price, so that is not a factor. Anyone prefer one over the other, and if so, why?

    Thanks

I have fine mesh hook less likely to thru also added part of swim noodle to handle helps float with one hand landing when fishing by myself and if net goes over board learned the hard way

I have had the EGO Slider rubber net since it came out.....large mesh. The handle eventually quit sliding and it was way past warranty. At some point they had done a redesign on the handle. They sent me a new handle for free even though the warranty had been expired for a couple of years. I love their rubber netting. I realize you asked about the Reach net...of which I have no experience......but just wanted to share my customer service experience.

Rubber if you fish cranks, mesh if you don't. If you can hold off a few weeks there is another net coming out that extends 12 feet and only weighs 17 ounces that may be worth considering. I got to hold it at the CrappieMasters National Championship and it's sweet.

Thanks - that is exactly the type of information for which I was looking.

Not sure of the name of the net but the folks at the Jenko booth brought it.

If you'll ever have a treble come into contact with the net bag, opt for the full rubber large mesh over the coated nylon small mesh.

I am sure I have made my mind up on the type of net - that being the rubber coated EGO Reach Rubber. Only waiting for two things now. Number one is to see if I win the one that is being given away at the Shin Dig coming up, and two to see the new net yikess mentioned in his post.
