Yes, please be safe. There are a few of us that have battled these types of events numerous times, and are not to be taken lightly. Some of the folks in Florida don't have a clue about how powerful an event like this can be.

Been through them before. That doesn't make me windproof but I kinda have an idea what to expect. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers everyone. I'm sure we'll need all of them before this is over. Wind is now building, some shelters are at capacity, curfews are in place, too late to go anywhere else so now they're saying to stay put instead of chancing a bad situation. I've listened to so much weather updates, over and over, I'm in need of some crappie fishin videos to brighten my spirits.

My sister and brother in law finally evacuated there home in New Smyrna Beach last night. One more year till retirement for her and now this. Will be visiting next month (hopefully) and hoping to do some fishing at their home on the Intercoastal.

Keep on praying, the good news this morning is that the eye is still off the coast which is helping somewhat. People need to be aware of the terrific storm surge such a storm and bring. More people are killed by the water than the wind.
