    Default What to do ?

when the wind forecast is 12 to 25 mph ? a true sea of waves it was .....what the heck....? go try and stand on a public dock maybe ? Sure Sure the folks looking at the waves laughed at me when I came down the ramp with my rod in hand on my lunch break ......and I said well ....just hang a bit and watch how this goes .....he who laughs last yawl ....
couldn't hardly stand up out there I tell ya ....don't let the photos fool ya none it was a howling wind ...man was the ole dock a rockin ...but the fish was a hitting that there feather jig in a 1/16 oz chart head blue body orange tail ......used my 6 foot tica ultralite 6 lb test .....
fish total was ...6 keeper size crappie , 1 channel cat , 2 bass and 2 bluegill .....
a pretty decent lunch break I suppose given the conditions ....
6 to 8 foot of water tight to the dock all 4 sides ....

That's a real nice response sir , the locals here knew what dock that was on another website when I posted photos and the regulars there were like you managed crappie off that dock ?
I think there are times they might just be where folks don't look for them . I have only been to that dock twice and the first time I didn't find any crappie there .so it does in fact pay to try more than once and never say never

Very nice! BTW, we love the wind! The more the better. Gets them really turned on. Try drifting 1/8 oz. jigs in 15 - 20 mph wind. Extremely productive.
