    Default New Rig!Pics

I posted last year about a friend of mine whose boat caught fire while he was out on the lake. He had to run it up onto a rock bank to escape. His boat and equipment were a total loss.

Well, Bob brought his new rig up today and we fished. It's a Panfish 17 with a 40 HP Mercury 4-Stroke.

Even though we had area lake wind warnings we ducked into a few places and caught enough for Bob to have for supper.

Great lookin boat and a nice catch. Just make sure he learns how to use the new fire extinguisher. HEHE just kiddn.
Just watch them there four strokes my 2003 60HP Merc caught fire on me last year because of a recall that I never recieved. I got the fire out without any really serious problems but it still turned out to be a bad day. All fixed now and workin fine.
If that is a brand new motor I'm sure the problem is taken care of but it would not hurt to make sure.

    Nice rig
A positive additude may not fix all of your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worthwhile.

All is well that ends well, I guess. I couldn't imagine my boat catching fire out on the lake. I guess we should all use this as a reminder to make sure our extinguishers are still good. Glad to see it all turned out allright in the end with no one hurt.

Too bad about old boat, must've been a real thriller dealing with that crises !
But, new boat looks good. All's well that ends well, etc.
