    Default Rewiring My Project Pondtoon

Don't have many options for routing wiring on this Pondtoon. I Previously, I had wires inside a rubber cable channel, but it constantly came loose and mildew set in. I am replacing the rubber channel with an aluminum dual channel cable trough. I will run power in one side and signal wires in the other side channel. This should help with noise such as EMI/RFI.

Rewiring the front is PHASE I. Rewiring aft will be PHASE II. Takes time and patience. I don't have much of either.

I ripped out the wires and started anew. I will be adding a fuse panel and power sockets to the new updated Troll Motor mounting box frame.

As near as I can remember, I lost my patience about a decade ago. Good luck with the project.

Looks like a big project. Make sure you have plenty of duct tape and butt connectors.

Could you run conduit around the perimeter much like a rub rail?

I could, but don't really need to. I have to get power to the front center and signal cables to front center, thus the deck mount cable trough. Power is run down both sides aft to front already. There are front distribution boxes on both sides like below pic. This wiring is all home grown. I just added a wire at a time til I got everything going. Now, I just cleaning up my messes.

That's like a pretty tough project to me. It just goes to show you that who ever posted that Cane Pole can't do crap may be mistaken.
