those of you that say or think color does not matter might want to consider this . I hit 2 different lakes yesterday and at BOTH lakes even though they are 60 miles apart the fish had a definite preference for a red back orange belly small jig . I used it in the singular fashion and tandem and even had a black on the top jig and a white on the bottom jig at one point . the black got off before I could get a photo .
I tried natural , I tried bright chart , I tried chart blue ....the red orange seemed to be the ticket hands down :highfive
hope you enjoy the photos and have a great day .....
i only posted up the boat ride photos, i was on a public dock at the first stop about noon
second lake was after work in the boat ...and YES tis the season yawl
the BITE IS ON .....:fish

Easy to see the bait of choice with the same color on both jigs.

I don't change colors alot but do like orange/chart glow tubes in spring time even more so if water is muddy .

Excellent crappie fishing! Up here, the seemingly hot color is pink/chartreuse. However, lately we've been having a hard time with numbers, no matter what we use! I'll the orange a go next time out.
