    Default Rod tip visibility

How do you guys color your rod tips to be able to see them easier when trolling or longlining?

I put vasaline on the rod tip and second eyelet then spray paint them in orange or Green floro. After they dry I wipe off grease.

I have painted mine floro gree, floro Orange, floro Chartruse, and just painted one set white. The white for my eyes is about the best so far. Have found different color's to be better under different light conditions. I suggest just trying a mix of color's and see what works best for you. Pretty easy just to paint over.

Arrow cresting tape. Does not effect the sensitivity. Just google search it there are several colors.

Krylon Fusion is flexible and doesn't chip with the flex of the rod ...

My old eyes see the white best. Just tape off about 6" to 12" from tip end and spray with paint remove tape and you're ready to go. White shows up good at night also.
Be safe and good luck fishing

IMO flat white works the best !!!

This is the best idea I'v heard!! Great job.

Also, they do make arrow wraps (cresting) that will charge by sunlight and glow in the dark for up to 8 hours (for you night fishermen).
