    Default Canadian Crappies

Pretty well packed and ready for the big Canadian trip, head up Friday. Hope for a great week.Fishing here has not been good all summer, too hot for me. Mainly we catch bunches of really nice small mouth and some large mouth Bass. I usually average 30 to 40 a day. they all go back in. I want to really try to find the crappy this trip. I know they kill them in the spring, nice big black crappy. I could never find them in the fall and kind of gave up. Last year the last day we were there a guy came in with a big basket full of beauties. So I am going to devote an hour or so each day trying to locate some. Water to over 200' deep, lots of coves, feeder creeks and massive weed beds. Try to get a good report out after we get home if I do any good. I'm sure no one wants to see bass pictures!!

Good luck have fun trip. If you have a flasher bring it. Also a short rod like 5ft. so you can see your jig. just hang the xducer over the side or fish below your trolling motor xduce if you use a motor. Just like ice fishing. Don't tell anyone I told you this.
