    Default Had A Transplant Today

Well not me but my outboard. My old 86 70 Yamaha needed a rest so I got a newer 97 to help it out. Went over to New Hampshire today and picked it up. After the ride home it was on and running in an hour. Runs sweet and will try it on the lake in the morning.

Those are awesome outboards! I ran the starch out of a 1996 for years and years, never had a hiccup.

Had an '84 model 70hp Yammy on my previous boat (1550 Glasstream) .... boat is dust, but the motor is still tickin' according to the last report I got from the new owner. They are tough little dudes ... you should get many years of good performance from yours.

Way to go. I put a 1996 40 HP 4 cylinder mercury on my old boat a few weeks ago. Now swapping it over to tiller handle. So have to pick up some Rivets to fill in the side console rivets holes.

Always ways nice to upgrade motors or boats. I recently upgraded a 1999 Mercury 90 to a 2007 optimax 150 and love it. If you like yours as much as I like mine you will be one happy fishermen.thanks for sharing

Good deal on the swap. I run an '88 150 mariner that is thirsty. I'd like to get into a newer motor with better fuel economy. Motor runs great so I continue to feed it. One day....
