Looking good Hugh!!! Keep up the good work, You know I went rabbit hunting up river this last weekend & ran across a lot & I mean a lot of bamboo if ya interested let me know & I will let you know where its at.

I thought about making some structure but i am not familar enough yet with the lake & I believe I would be wasting my time.

How do you guys figure how tall to make the structure concerning water depth?

Illinois Angler - Depending on if we are making summer spots or spawning spots, but we always make them where they can't be seen above the water line. If we are making spawning spots we generally put them in 3-10 feet of water. Summer spots obviously go in deeper water so they will be taller than spawning condos. The one in the picture was one of seven. The materials were already cut so I made them the size they were. I knew they were to be summer condos so we put them in 20 feet of water and they were ten feet tall. I know the fish in the lake hang around 8-14 feet deep in the summer so in 20 feet of water if I'm fishing 10 feet deep I'm on the top of my condo.
