    Default I miss Radio Shack

I working on a boat project for Billbob. Every time I need a small part ( I need a resistor), I have to order on line as there is nothing close by that has small parts.

Bad part about orders on line is that you have to buy 5-10 just to get 1 item. What a crock. Then of course there is shipping or the slow boat from China.

    What happened to America?

Maybe I need that Mario App (or what is it?). Might find a resistor monster.

I miss them too. I used to buy a lot of small parts, soldering irons and supplies, project boxes and such from them. I still have a meter and power supply that must be at least 25-30 years old. I use the power supply often. I don't use the old analog meter much anymore but I still keep it around.

We still have Radio Shack in town, two of them. Go there quite often.

    U lucky Randy.

Nothing within 50 mile radius here that carries individual components. Almost 1800 stored closed.

I am blessed to have a real electronic supply store in Paducah, a 30 minute drive away. Hughes Electronic Supply whose main business is as a Direct TV provider and installer, also carries a full line of most everything I need. What he doesn't have he can get if I want to wait till the order cycle.

That!s why I'll keep circuit boards from old electronic devices. It is true that static electricity will zap parts but at least a resistor can be tested and used in a pinch. Other components maybe not so much.

I have thousands of components, but never seem to have the ones required. You all know what I mean.
